Congratulations to TNT student Gail Bradshaw & her English Cocker Spaniel Reina who earned not only earned a High in Trial from the Novice A class but also won Highest Scoring Champion on Record. She also qualified in Pre CD, and got High in Class on her first leg in Advanced Rally with a score of 97.
Reina acheived her High in Trial at the English Cocker Club of Canada Specialty in Edmonton on June 1st under judge Jeffrey Lunder, who also judged Rally. This was Reina’s first run in a Novice A obedience trial, and overall she performed well. However, I would say that she is not yet ready to seriously compete in Obedience yet. She is just two years old and we still need to work on her focus, something that Maureen is continually redirecting me to have focus on. We received many compliments on her “get ready” as she loves to almost jump backwards while swiveling her little butt into position – it is pretty cute. She is a happy little Cocker who loves to work. I would have to acknowledge Maureen and TNT for retraining me to focus positively on my girl.
So far this year, on top of winning her Championship, she has earned two PCD legs (one at this Specialty), a TD, her RN with two high in Classes, and at the recent Specialty she achieved another High in Class on her first run at a Rally Advanced trial. I am quite excited to see how she performs at Richmond this coming weekend in Rally Advanced.
