And if your furry friend can execute a trick in front of a creepy Halloween decoration (especially if it’s moving), you have a solid behavior on your hands.

Be sure to challenge your dog-loving friends to the Halloween Proofing Challenge

Please Stay safe and don’t push your dog to do things he isn’t comfortable with – if your dog isn’t going to be comfortable next to a 12 foot animatronic skeleton –  send a picture of him next to your family pumpkin instead or work at a distance from a larger distraction – this contest is open to dogs at ALL levels.

A good rule of thumb for training with distractions is to start small and increase the impact of the distraction slowly as your dog gains confidence, either by getting closer of using a bigger distraction.  

Remember we want your dog to have a positive experience learning to train with distractions, not a scary one.

  2. Create a post with your picture
  3. Tag TNT Training in the photo  (select the photo and client the tag icon and then start typing  TNT Training and we should show up)
  4. Enter as often as you want (but each picture must be unique).
