Obedience Workshops with Janice Gunn

Janice’s seminars are fast paced and working spots get lots of time on the floor!  Seminars are normally Saturday and Sunday – two days.  Occasionally private lessons can be done on Monday.

Learn how to actively engage your dog to want to be a willing participant when training and showing.  Janice will demonstrate a variety of techniques including touchpad training, food chase game, impulse control, on-off switches, her unique disc game, remote reward, target plate training, the value of platforms, how to get your dog’s focus and keep it, value transfer, proper play techniques, explain and discuss ways to use shaping for a stronger connection,  are just some of the topics that will be covered.  Normally Saturday is group work and Sunday is individual problem solving where the handler gets to work on whatever they choose.

If your club or facility is interested in holding a workshop, please contact Janice either by email tntkennels@telus.net

What our Seminar Participants Have to Say

Angel and I are so looking forward to attending your summer camp next year and the next and the next, and every year after that.  Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and expertise with us.  You and your beautiful dogs are our inspiration.

MaryAnn Williams

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed attending the camp last weekend. There is always something new to take away. And I know there were things that I already heard you speak about in the past, but they now had new meaning for me as my perspective grows. I am always impressed with how you are able to provide advice about the unique presentations of both the dogs AND the people handling the dogs! You somehow manage to provide teaching moments with tolerance, understanding, and enthusiasm.

Thanks for all you have helped me with, and thanks especially for the inspiration to succeed!
