The tug toys are just the right texture for the majority of dogs.  They are not too hard nor difficult for the dog to grip.  Yet they are firm enough for the dog to get a good grip on and engage in a good game of tugging.  The two handle tugs make it easier for me to play with my dog as it distributes the weight between my two hands and does not put all the pressure on one hand alone which can be taxing.  I enjoy the variety of colors!
