We love this flirt for building motivation and as a high-level distraction in proofing. It is tough enough to have survived MANY intense tug sessions with Remi.
Dogs love the flirt pole as it simulates prey with it’s movement. I like the long line on the flirt as I can get the toy away from me, with this ability I can have the toy moving around me while I am doing fronts, finishes, signals, and I can have it follow me on heeling. When my dog ignores the distraction of the flirt, they will be rewarded with the flirt and we engage in play. Watch the video below to see how I incorporate this flirt into my training routine.

My Goldens LOVE the reward of getting to chase and tug this shaggy “prize”! My 9 month old, especially, gets so excited that it’s a challenge to put this awesome toy/training tool away. This flirt pole and tug are sturdier than most I have seen and I’m sure will hold up to many tugs and chases. Enjoy!! Thank-you Janice!
