To Train or Not To Train ???

Golden Retriever Billie earns her 6th Perfect Score in the Obedience Ring

Billie ( FTCH AFTCH MOTCH Tanbark’s Orange Crush, OBHF, FDHF, MH Am. OTCH, UDX, OM1, OBHF***) decided she had had enough vacation time. John & I were focusing on training and trialing our youngsters for field trials while Billie had a month of R&R.

Once we arrived back home Billie competed in an obedience trial only 4 days later and scored a perfect 200!  Looks like Billie is glad to be back on the obedience train!  Billie is owned, trained and shown by her mom, Janice Gunn. She earned her 6th perfect score from the Open B class at the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers on October the 8th. She really is a Golden Girl.

I absolutely enjoyed the seminar you presented in Thunder Bay. It bought so many fond memories of training that I was introduced to (Anne Marie Silverton) several years ago with a great new twist.
We are looking forward to working with you again!

I was glad to see that a “lay off” is sometimes very valuable! My Golden Girl Kelly started showing some promise this fall in obedience. I had been occasionally showing her and only occasionally training her and she was doing great in Open B and Utility. Our home town trial was coming up and I wante to show off my little girl so I started really working on the little details.
Her first show was okay with a 194 in UtB but it went down hill from there. I have found the less I work her the more accurate and happy she gets! It was an eye opener!
